Looking at the Rolex website I see the jubilee end links, case design, dial design and movement have all been tweaked. All the things I liked about the 41mm version now in a svelte 36mm size. Looking forward to seeing more but great changes IMO.

I made the mistake of trying on a Sky-Dweller recently and it’s interrupted my thoughts for a trimmed collection since. As for the datejust I think much the same way as you do. It’s just a watch; strip away the hype and you have a competent design with some advantages and some disadvantages. Mine is a vintage but of the same spec you listed. The champagne dial is interesting, depending on lighting, it can be nearly as white as a silver dial (sunlight), or as yellow as a gold dial (indoor, low light). The spectrum of light is reflected (figuratively and literally) off the dial. Reply Like. Now, what I am looking for exactly is a "very simple" Datejust 36, not two tone, rather with a white or silver dial (with "baton" index) and a jubilee bracelet. So far it looks pretty simple but what I wanted to know is your feedback on the various different references out there (e.g. 160xx series are better than the 162xx serie).
