It gives it a little more . I think kaien is right; if you go to the Rolex website and compare the DJ41 slate and DR (they’re next to each other on the “configure Dial thing”) it appears that slate is a shade lighter. Black is always nice but the majority of sports watches have black dials. I think Rolex using "Rhodium" in their marketing is supposed to mean the watch dial has the look of Rhodium. If it actually contained the element (AtNo 45) the watch would be ridiculously expensive. Interesting.
I have been looking at 16220 Roman models (Serial T through F), and I can not tell the difference between Rhodium and Silver dials. Some say the Rhodium dial is 'lighter' and more 'silvery'. Others say the Rhodium dial is 'darker'. Do you think the historic platinum dial or the new rhodium is better? I prefer the brightness and exclusivity of platinum and the baby-blue details of rhodium. Basically I would be more oriented towards the historical, but difficult to find in the 6 .
