Then, it develops into a smooth floral, spicy, woodsy, and semi-sweet vanilla scent.Egoiste Platinum by Chanel is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for men. Egoiste Platinum was launched in 1993. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacques Polge. Top notes are Lavender, Rosemary, Neroli and Petitgrain; middle notes are Geranium, Clary Sage, Galbanum and Jasmine; base notes are Oakmoss, Vetiver, Cedar, Sandalwood and Amber. It’s definitely not what it once was, but given how far many fragrances have fallen, they’ve done a solid job of making sure it still smells like egoiste. I think it’s actually better in the new style bottles as compared to the fully rectangular ones with the concentration under Chanel. Platinum Egoiste is one I like, especially the early development, although the base can be challenging during some wearings. For Bleu de Chanel, I like the edp quite a bit more than the edt. I like the opening of the edt, but rarely enjoy a full wearing.
