"Joined the waitlist" makes it sounds like you joined an exclusive country club. Believe me, it's not exclusive, lol! But seriously, spend the time reading all the info and opinions on here!

The AD probably learned from your response that you are truly buying for yourself and won't flip. I think it was a good move on your part. The proof is that your AD offered to put you on the list for a GMT of your choice. Watch: HULK SMASH. Posts: 584. The game is to be a serious and long term customer, you're only limited by your ability to demonstrate that across multiple ADs through usual games - story telling, purchase history, etc, but not limited by a widespread database of waitlists and any idea of loyalty. I am on the waiting list for the SD43/50 and got the call last night that the watch is "on the way". While I know it very common to put some money down for a high demand watch, I am being asked by Ben Bridge to pay for the watch in full, sight unseen. I did this and was able to get my name on a waitlist (AD also gave me a hard cover rolex magazine). I'm waiting for the new ExpII and AD qouted me 4-6 months wait time (this was back in Aug). I added myself to a waitlist in my home state where the AD said it would be about three months. I currently live in the Dallas where the waitlist to 6 to 8 months. I was curious to see if this is accurate across the board or if anyone is having better luck? Thanks! I knew there was a waiting list and when I was 25 I called the dealer for Rolex and asked to be put on the waiting list. There were two watches I really wanted, black Submariner with no date and the GMT masters with the black face and blue and red dial. I got mine in early November 2021 after being put on the wait list in late February 2021. It was through an AD where I've bought a lot of other stuff.

I bought a few Rolex watches from my family owned AD before things got crazy in terms of demand. I had a respectable Rolex collection and while new things were coming out that I was interested in, I wasn't interested in waiting months or years. Goldsmiths aren't the best company to deal with to be honest...I love teasing my local one by wearing my Daytona and without them seeing it ask what the wait list is like for a Daytona..!!
