Oct 18, 2024. #9. I'm fortunate to own another 1906 Patek Philippe of what looks to be the identical calibre from 1906, this one a Gondolo 19''' in Gilt versus the Geneva Stripe 16'''. Thought I would pull the balance and get a closer inspection to see if it offers any clues - while I believe the balance wheel is correct in the 16, the double . According to the Patek Philippe Museum Catalog and director of the Patek Philippe Museum, Patek Philippe bought 30 high grade watches/ movements by Niton in the 30's. But it still remains a mystery what and how many of which calibers.. Under the 30 watches and movements by Niton which Patek Philippe bought are round calibers 17''' and tonneau . First 2 photos show one of Cartiers first jumping hour wrist watch made by Niton in the year 1929. Niton produced only for Haute Horlogeries and Jewelers.
